Bozkov is located around 5km north of Semily, east of Železný Brod.

The first record of this village located below Krkonoše dates back to 1356. At the end of the 14th century Bozkov belonged to the Navarov estate, owned by the Waldstein family. Later it was owned by the Smiřický family of Smiřice and from 1622 its owner was Albrecht of Waldstein.

Bozkov is located in the picturesque landscape of Podkrkonoší. Thanks to its location, it is a good starting point for excusions to the western part of Krkonoše or eastern part of Jizerské hory. The major tourist attraction is Bozkovské jeskyně, located around 1km away from the northern fringe of the village.
